Group 1:
This is where all of the fun and excitement of NASA begins! This group is designed for first time track day participants.
Learn the fundamentals of high performance driving in a controlled environment of classroom and on track instruction. Sign
up for Group 1 and build the foundation of your driving career today!
Group 2:
Embark on the next step of the NASA HPDE ladder! This group is designed for novice drivers with previous track day experience.
Group 2 drivers must possess the basic knowledge of vehicle dynamics and be comfortable driving without an instructor. Group 2
drivers are familiar with grid procedures, passing rules, and flags. Sign up for Group 2 and hone your skills today!
Group 3:
Display the skills and talents of an experienced NASA driver! To qualify for this group, you must have had at least (1) weekend
of prior NASA instruction or equivalent. Drivers in Group 3 must possess all the skills and knowledge covered in Groups 1 and 2.
Group 3 drivers must list previous experience, events and schools attended, and licenses on the entry form to be eligible. Official,
Signed NASA Passport is required. Drivers in this group will experience extensive controlled passing, and must be comfortable without
an instructor. Join the ranks of competent, qualified, NASA Group 3 drivers today!
Group 3 is a progressive group. Passing limits on Saturday are lifted as the weekend progresses.
Group 4:
Welcome to the top rung of the NASA HPDE ladder! Group 4 drivers have passed through all previous NASA HPDE levels or equivalent,
posses extensive knowledge of the HPDE rules as described in the CCR, and have obtained an Official Signed NASA Passport. Group 4
drivers must list previous experience, events and schools attended, and licenses on the entry form to be eligible. Group 4 drivers
will engage in open passing, and a VERY high level of comfort and skill is required. Soar to the top of NASA HPDE, enroll in Group 4

THE INTENT OF THIS DOCUMENT IS TO CONVEY IMPORTANT INFORMATION SO THAT A PARTICIPANT CAN MAKE AN INFORMED DECISION ABOUT WHICH
GROUP TO CHOOSE. IN THE INTERESTS OF SAFE, SERIOUS, FUN, DRIVERS SIGNING UP FOR A GROUP FOR WHICH THEY ARE NOT QUALIFIED WILL BE
SUBJECT TO PENALTIES, INCLUDING A 1 YEAR SUSPENSION OR FORFEITURE OF NASA MEMBERSHIP. WHEN IN DOUBT, PLEASE SIGN UP FOR THE LOWER
GROUP.
